Alejandro's father worked on farms for over 20 years before purchasing his first parcel of land to farm. Alejandro then grew up working alongside his father and purchased his first parcel of land about 15 years ago. He cleared it of overgrown brush and planted caturra and bourbon trees himself. Now America helps him manage the farms, with coffee as their sole source of income.
