Finca Santa Cecilia is a 3 hectare farm located in Palta, Ecuador and is managed by brother Juan Carlos and Wilson Gallego. Wilson has owned the farm for over 45 years and Juan Carlos has been helping him grow coffee there since he was young. For most of that time, the brothers were producing more conventional coffee and selling it to intermediaries. About 9 years ago, the brothers joined a producer group that had access to a better market and began to focus the quality of their coffee, improving their production and processing practices. Though the group didn't succeed as a whole, they continued to pursue quality with their production.

Their hard work and commitment certainly shows in the cup. This lot shines with  tropical flavors like papaya and guava, ripe berries, and sweet florals. This is the second year The Coffee Quest has worked with the brothers and we're excited to share it with you this year and in future years!
