We're excited to have two Gargari Gutity lots on our menu this year, one washed, and one natural. Having both provides a fun opportunity to taste the way in which the process impacts the flavor of these two, otherwise similar, lots from the same region. While both coffees are packed with sweet fruit and florals, they're markedly different from one another.
This washed lot from the Gargari Gutity station is comprised almost entirely of the 74110 variety from smallholder farmers who live nearby the processing station. It's very aromatic and floral, reminding us of bergamot, honeysuckle, nectarine, meyer lemon, and candied ginger. It is
Primrose Coffee, led by Abreham Mengiste and Meseret Workneh, is the driving force behind both Gargari lots, handling the lot separation and production of each. Both of these coffees jumped off the cupping table when we first tasted them and we've been waiting eagerly to share them with you ever since!
