The Udesa Fora washing station is managed by Mekonnen Beriso in the Sukke Chiga Kebele and is owned by exporter, Daye Bensa. The lots are built from the cherries of around 300-400 nearby smallholder farmers. Daye Bensa has been overseeing the production of excellent coffee in the Sidama region for years (we've purchased coffees through Daye Bensa every year from their Keramo and Hamasho washing stations) and this is one of their first ventures into the Guji region.
This is one of our favorite Ethiopian coffees we've tasted this year. In the cup we're finding ripe citrus fruits like nectarine, peach, and mango and lively alpine and sweet florals. It's the type of coffee we could drink all day every day.
