This year's holiday coffee is from the Udesa Fora washing station in Guji, Ethiopia. This is one of our favorite Ethiopian coffees we tasted this year and it's citrusy, floral, and alpine cup profile feels like a great for the holidays. This is the type of coffee we never get tired of drinking and we're so happy to share it as our second annual Santa's Little Helper.
You can find Santa's Little Helper being served in our cafes throughout the month of December!
The Udesa Fora washing station is managed by Mekonnen Beriso in the Sukke Chiga Kebele and is owned by exporter, Daye Bensa. The lots are built from the cherries of around 300-400 nearby smallholder farmers. Daye Bensa has been overseeing the production of excellent coffee in the Sidama region for years (we've purchased coffees through Daye Bensa every year from their Keramo and Hamasho washing stations) and this is one of their first ventures into the Guji region.
