We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Kenyan coffees from this year's harvest; curious to see if the large changes made to Kenya's exporting system would create issues for quality or transit. Fortunately, both lots that we contracted are consistent with our experiences in years past, and we're excited to release Gakuyuini first. This lot comes from smallholder farmers in the Ngariama region and is comprised of solely SL28 and SL34 varieties, both of which are renowned for Kenya's classic flavor profile. In the cup, we're finding bright red fruits and a complex maple syrupy sweetness.
